ICE-RETENTION TIPS FROM THE MANUFACTURER

For optimal ice retention, follow these tips:

• Layer your cooler: Keep food surrounded by ice to ensure it stays below 40 degrees Fahrenheit (the FDA's recommended safe food temperature). Always add a layer of ice on top for best results.
• Use plenty of ice: The more ice you use, the colder the temperatures will be and the longer your ice will last.
• Keep the lid closed: Prevent hot air from entering and keep the cold air inside.
• Pre-chill food and drinks: The colder the contents, the longer they will last.
• Keep it in the shade: Direct sunlight and extreme heat can cause your cooler to heat up faster.

MOST EFFECTIVE ICE LAYOUTS:

• Layer from bottom to top: Food, ice, food, ice. Always keep ice as the top layer.
• Freeze or pre-chill all food before placing it in the cooler.
• Make sure to surround and top your food and drinks with ice.

This cooler is bear-resistant and certified by the IGBC, able to withstand a bear for up to an hour when locked. It is a size 65 quart with performance up to 8-day ice retention, exceeding most premium priced coolers on the market.

The cooler also features a capped drain with an easy-to-drain spout that is compatible with a garden hose. It is made of heavy-duty materials including polyethylene, urethane, polypropylene, and nylon rope handles.

Additional features include two rope handles with storm gray injection molded grips, four serviceable feet, two bottle openers, two holes for locks (locks not included), and two latches to secure the lid.
